Biography

Elizabeth Gould is honored to serve as director of International Short Programs. With over 20 years of experience in international education, she has developed a deep love of working with people from all over the world. Prior to starting as ISP’s director in 2024, Elizabeth worked as the associate director of curriculum and instruction at KU’s Applied English Center beginning in 2011. While there, she had oversight of curriculum, instruction and accreditation of the AEC’s intensive English program. She has also worked in Chicago and lived and studied abroad in Mexico and Honduras. Elizabeth has earned bachelor’s degrees in marketing and Spanish, a master’s degree in the teaching of languages with an emphasis in English and Spanish, and a doctorate in organizational leadership. In her free time, she enjoys traveling and spending time with friends and family in the Lawrence and greater Kansas area.
