International Agreement Development
KU International Affairs (KUIA) serves as the central point of facilitation for the international agreement process at the University of Kansas, supporting the academic pursuits of the KU community through the cultivation and maintenance of relationships with universities and organizations across the globe. These rich and varied partnerships, many of them longstanding, promote the exchange of ideas and culture through faculty and student research, student study abroad and exchange, incoming and outbound short-term programs, staff development, and many other scholarly and professional opportunities.
KU community members interested in initiating a new international partnership should consult the information page to learn more about next steps. KUIA staff are available to assist by:
- Providing agreement templates that accommodate programmatic or scholarly collaboration goals;
- Advising and consulting on the partnership development process;
- Liaising with KU and State of Kansas administrative offices to ensure that agreements satisfactorily meet the requirements of university policy as well as state and federal law; and
- Maintaining a central repository for signed agreements. A list of KU’s current and prior agreements is available in an online directory.
