Biography —
Angela Perryman, director of Study Abroad & Global Engagement, earned master's degrees in public administration and Latin America studies from the University of Kansas, and a bachelor's degree in Latin American Studies. Her duties include strategic and operational planning for the Study Abroad unit, personnel management, fiscal management, programmatic oversight and assessment, and service on the executive management team within KU International Affairs.
Perryman began her career in international education as a program coordinator and later as the assistant director of Study Abroad at KU. In 2008, Angela relocated to Colorado and assumed the position of associate director of Study Abroad at Colorado State University, a role she held for four years. She returned to KU in 2012 to assume leadership of Study Abroad & Global Engagement. Perryman is an active member of NAFSA and has previously served on the executive leadership team of NAFSA Region II and as a member of the NAFSA EA Regulatory Practice Committee. Outside of her professional travels, Perryman's significant international experiences include graduate research in Brazil, overseas director positions with the Experiment in International Living in Spain and Costa Rica, semesters abroad in Spain and Costa Rica, and volunteer work in Ecuador.
