Three KU students selected for Fulbright awards


Three University of Kansas students, Adrianna Brady, Allison Muzzy and Naomi Galindo have been selected for the Fulbright U.S. Student Program awards.

The Fulbright program is the U.S government’s flagship international educational exchange program, which works to foster understanding between Americans and people from different countries. The program operates in over 160 different countries and selects recipients based on academics, leadership, service, and professional achievement. The grants cover round-trip travel, maintenance for one academic year, health and accident insurance.

Adrianna Brady

Brady, from Edwardsville will serve as an English teaching assistant in Armenia. Brady is set to graduate this May with a Bachelor of Arts in Honors History and Slavic, Germanic, and Eurasian Studies (Russian concentration). She is also certified through KU’s Global Awareness Program and has served as an undergraduate student representative for the Center of Russian, East European, and Eurasian studies and was a FLAS Fellowship recipient in 2025. Her parents are Desiree and Steve Brady.

Naomi Galindo

Galindo will serve as an English teaching assistant in Uzbekistan. From El Dorado, Galindo is studying Russian, East European, and Eurasian studies as a graduate student. She is set to graduate in Spring of 2026. Her parents are John Pyle and Gloria Galindo Pyle.

Allison Muzzy

Muzzy is a senior from Leavenworth, majoring in journalism and mass communications, with a concentration in multimedia journalism, and political science. She also is working towards minors in U.S. public policy and East Asian languages and cultures, with an emphasis on advanced Chinese, and a Global Awareness Certificate with Distinction. Her parents are Sheri and Patrick Muzzy. Muzzy is also a recipient of the Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship for 2025 as well as a 2025 Nominee for the KU Truman Scholarship and KU Beneicke Scholarship. She will serve as an English teaching assistant in Taiwan.
