International Affairs unveils immigration webpage for international students, scholars, and their supporters

KU International Affairs launched a "Navigating Immigration Changes" webpage to highlight key immigration issues for KU's international community and their supporters. The page aims to keep the KU community informed and direct those with questions to expert advising on campus in a rapidly changing immigration context.

KU International Affairs has created a webpage regarding Navigating Immigration Changes to highlight important issues for the international community at KU and for all of KU’s students, faculty and staff who work and learn with them.

“Our intention with the new page is to help keep the broader KU community more informed,” said Charles Bankart, senior internationalization officer. “In a rapidly changing immigration context, it’s important to ensure people with questions or concerns know where to go on campus for expert advising and information.”

The new webpage is not a substitute for immigration advising and does not provide legal advice. Instead, it serves as a unified resource for understanding current immigration issues and concerns, offering helpful information and links to sources for further guidance.

International Support Services (ISS) and Human Resources will continue to provide direct immigration updates, guidance, and recommendations to KU’s international community.

If an international student at KU has concerns or questions, please refer them to ISS for advising. ISS can provide current, informed guidance directly to students that is responsive to their unique situation and needs and can connect them with appropriate support and resources as needed. International faculty and staff should be directed to the international advising team in Human Resources.
