Phi Beta Delta Best Graduate Student Paper on an International Topic

The 2020 submission deadline is March 6 at 5 p.m.

The top paper in each category will receive a $50 award, sponsored by Graduate Studies.

Papers will be judged on originality, international studies values and contribution to the field.
  •       Research paper from a course
  •       Dissertation chapter

- Papers must have been written in the 2019 spring, summer or fall semester.

- Formatted in APA, MLA, or Chicago style 

- 20-30 pages in length (references not included)

Email the following completed attachments to pbd@ku.edu:

  • Research paper or dissertation chapter
  • 1-page Abstract of paper or chapter
Entries received after March 6th will not be considered. 

The top paper in each category for the Best Graduate Student Paper on an International Topic will be announced at the Phi Beta Delta Evening of International Chamber Music for Strings, Woodwinds, and Piano.  The performance will be held on Sunday, March 22, 2020 at 7:30 in Swarthout Recital Hall. The program will feature music from Ecuador, China, Canada, Germany and Armenia, performed by students, faculty and alumni of the KU School of Music.  A reception will follow.  Members of the society and other supporters of international education are cordially invited.
