International Travel Resources for Students

KU supports and encourages international travel and recognizes that the formation of an international perspective is an essential educational component of its academic mission.

*The University-affiliated Student International Travel Policy requires all students who travel internationally for a university-affiliated activity to register. Registration is needed for all non-credit bearing international travel organized or endorsed by KU, a KU academic unit, faculty or staff member, or student organization. Registration is also needed for any international travel receiving university funding. The policy pertains to international performances, competitions, research, and academic or professional conferences.

Students participating in regular, for-credit or KU-administered study, internship, research or service-learning programs will complete the relevant application processes administered by Study Abroad & Global Engagement, and therefore do not need to complete a separate application to the Student International Travel Registry.
