Recommendation Form
 

Two recommendation letters are required. At least one must be from a KU instructor. Transfer students may have a recommendation from someone at their previous institution. Applicants are responsible for confirming that recommendation materials have been submitted. 

 

Personal Statement

In addition to the application form, applicants must write a personal statement that addresses the following questions: 

What are your intellectual interests and aspirations? 
What kinds of ideas engage you?
What interests you about the seminar?

What experiences or activities have shaped your thinking?  
What global and international topics interest you?

Please try and provide a concise “portrait” of yourself. The statement, a maximum of 750 words, should be uploaded with the application form.

 

Eligibility

  • Students who are beginning their second year of college
  • Students who have a 3.5 GPA or higher
  • Students who have an interest in international studies

Students must enroll in an interdisciplinary three-credit hour seminar course during the 2017 spring semester.
